Foundation Armor manufactures two types of water-based paver sealers, a Silane-Siloxane water-repellent paver sealer and a water-based acrylic paver sealer. Which type of sealer is best for your application will depend on what your pavers are currently sealed with, and what you want your pavers to look like once sealed.
- Armor SX5000 WB: The Armor SX5000 WB can be applied to unsealed pavers. If you like the natural, unsealed look of your pavers, the Armor SX5000 WB is a great choice. The Armor SX5000 WB is a silane-siloxane water repellent sealer that chemically reacts below the surface to create a water-repellent barrier below the pores. It can reduce water absorption by up to 95%, therefore reducing damage and deterioration caused by water absorption. It works entirely below the surface and won't leave a surface film, or change the look or color of the pavers.
- Armor WB15: The Armor WB15 can be applied to unsealed pavers, and pavers previously sealed with a water-based acrylic sealer. The Armor WB15 is designed to lightly coat the surface of the pavers to provide a protective, low gloss finish.
- Armor WB25: The Armor WB25 can be applied to unsealed pavers, and pavers previously sealed with a water-based acrylic sealer. The Armor WB25 is designed to coat the surface of the pavers to provide a protective, high gloss finish.
It is important to note that pavers are very porous and may require additional coats to achieve the desired outcome. It is very common for pavers to require a third coat, especially if it is your first time sealing. The best way to determine how many coats you will need, and what the pavers will look like once sealed, is to apply a sample to your pavers before purchasing.
