Foundation Armor manufactures two types of solvent-based paver sealers, penetrating water-repellent paver sealers and a solvent-based acrylic paver sealers. Which type of sealer is best for your application will depend on what your pavers are currently sealed with, and what you want your pavers to look like once sealed.

  • Armor SX5000: The Armor SX5000 can be applied to unsealed pavers. If you like the natural, unsealed look of your pavers, the Armor SX5000 is a great choice. The Armor SX5000 is a silane-siloxane water repellent sealer that chemically reacts below the surface to create a water-repellent barrier below the pores. It can reduce water absorption by up to 95%, therefore reducing damage and deterioration caused by water absorption. It works entirely below the surface and won't leave a surface film, or change the look or color of the pavers.
  • Armor WL550: The Armor WL550 can be applied to unsealed pavers. It will very slightly enhance the natural color of the pavers, and work to protect the pavers from below the surface without leaving a surface film. It works very similar to Armor SX5000, but if you want a slight color enhancement, the Armor WL550 is the best option.
  • Armor AR350: The Armor AR350 can be applied to unsealed pavers, and pavers previously sealed with a solvent-based acrylic sealer. The Armor AR350 is designed to darken the surface of the pavers and protect them with a low gloss surface film. This is a great option if you are looking for a dramatic color enhancement and a low gloss finish.
  • Armor AR500: The Armor AR500 can be applied to unsealed pavers, and pavers previously sealed with a solvent-based acrylic sealer. The Armor AR5000 is designed to darken the surface of the pavers and protect them with a high gloss surface film. This is a great option if you are looking for a dramatic color enhancement and a high gloss finish.

It is important to note that pavers are very porous and may require additional coats to achieve the desired outcome. It is very common for pavers to require a third coat, especially if it is your first time sealing. The best way to determine how many coats you will need, and what the pavers will look like once sealed, is to apply a sample to your pavers before purchasing.
